The Graduate Certificate in Nursing: Nursing Education is designed to prepare nurses to become educational leaders in academic and clinical settings. This certificate consists of twelve semester hours and can be completed within one calendar year. The Graduate Certificate provides students with the coursework needed to enhance the student's professional teaching skill.
If you wish to continue and earn an MSN in Nursing Education, all four courses earned in the Graduate Certificate will transfer into the MSN-Nursing Education program.
Admission
Most students will complete a Graduate Application upon admission; however, some students apply late and miss the deadline. Those students often apply as Post-Baccalaureate students. This allows students to begin taking courses in the program while they complete the graduate application. That means two applications and two application fees, but it allows students to begin the program with the current cohort. Six graduate hours will transfer into the master’s program.
